Agree with immediate ban because it is affecting public health unless the telcos can prove that it is 100% safe. No more profits for telcos at the expense of public health.

Telco Dishes & Antennas at Taman Bunga Raya, Wangsa Maju.
Yesterday DBKL took actions to dismantle all the telco dishes and antennas in the shop houses at Taman Bunga Raya.
On behalf of the residents, I would would like to say
Dear YB Wee,
I read your article with interest. You raise a very good point. I am sure you are aware there is a document prepared by the Malaysian Technical Standard Forum that address to a limited extent the exposure from the BTS. I am giving you the URL and you could pick the document from there.

I think you will find the following article more useful although it is a applied in Australia.

I met someone representing the body that gives approval for telecommunication infrastructure in Selangor some years ago (5 years ago). I remember, I was impressed although they still needed a lot of work to ensure public safety it was a good start. I can’t remember the name of the body but some of your friends may. Not sure if the organisation still exist but you could check because it was at the State level.
As a telecommunication specialist I would like to inform you that the following parameters are critical when evaluating the safe environment: operating frequency, radiated power levels, number of BTS and duration of exposure (so having a transmitting station near a highway may mean a few minutes or seconds of exposure as compared to a home, school or hospital).
Please email directly if you need any clarfication.
