For some time vicious rumours have been circulating claiming that Abdullah Badawi may not step down as Prime Minister come end March.
The Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, has cleared the air in Parliament today and put the rumour to rest once and for all.
Abdullah Badawi had made it clear that he will be stepping down as Prime Minister in March 2009. He had also promised that he will be initiating some reforms that were sought after by the rakyat before he leaves office.
The convincing outcome of the recent Permatang Pauh by-election had confirmed once and for all that the rakyat were not as dumb as some of our most out-of-touch and out-of-date politicians would like us to believe.
At every opportunity, YAB Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi, the Prime Minister, will confidently claim that he, his administration and his policies and decisions are still very popular with the people since the 8 March general elections. He also claimed that he has won the 12th General Elections! He must now walk his talk.
