I know about this scam. MOSTI should take all necessary actions to recover all the monies paid to Venturepharm, which I believe to be in the region of over RM2 million.
From what I know that the joint venture company is non-existent.

Venturepharm Asia Sdn Bhd not only received Technofund from MOSTI. It also received special treatment from Ministry of Tourism.
I remember has brought up in Parliament about a Taiwanese by the name of Grace Chen, who is the person behind Venturepharm Asia Sdn Bhd. Venturepharm was also awarded the project to build the Malaysian Pavilion in Shanghai under very suspicious circumstances. Now that the Malaysian Pavilion has been completed, it is time that cost of the project had to be scrutinised otherwise we will be fooled by this Taiwanese woman again.
