Dear MP Wee,Ask the relevant Minister what is being to start increasing rice production/harvests and whether the plan to open up sarawak as a rice bowl has proceeded? Also we are currently only producing less than 50 percent of our food needs and with the uncertainty about fuel and food prices in there future, the prospect of hard times and food shortages is very real. So are we just going to sit around and for it to come? Padi doesn’t grow in a day, and neither does all the other food and livestock. We have to start now. The state of the world is being ignored by the ruling party, which is fighting for its own survival. meanwhile we head closer to economic and humanitarian disaster each day and WE ARE UNPREPARED. DO NOT THINK IT WILL NOT HAPPEN HERE. AS OF NOW MALAYSIA IS PRACTICALLY BEGGING THAILAND AND INDIA FOR ITS RICE. WE ARE A FERTILE NATION FOR GOD’S SAKE!!!!
Mr Wee,Please post in this blog all the answers to your questions given by related Ministries at the end of the Parliament session. Let all the readers judge how relevant and serious the government are in settling the issues brought up by you for the Rakyat.
me..only betterSorry it is late for me to put forward your question. The dateline was 02-06-08. I will definitely bear that in mind during Parliamentary debate. As and when I have the opportunity I shall bring that up. Thank you for your views and engaging with me. dayson leong:Thank you for your comments. I do post all the answers (not matter how stupid they were) that I received from the ministers. Please go to my Parliament Page and you will see them. Thank you for your views and engaging with me.All the best and May God bless all of you and family.
YB WEE;We are glad to have an intelligent MP to represent us.Good Questions & hope that you get sensible answers. Please let us know whether the are any follow-up measures like crimes reduction or whether these jokers are doing their jobs after they have given their answers. Can we penalize them should they fail in their duties & how to make them accountable to their words? One puzzle which I can’t comprehend, if these jokers refused to cooperate or buck-up what measures for us to counter them? How are we going to make them work or kick their butt since we are the tax payers but relegated to third class citizens? For Eg.we have a Tourism Minister who operates like the Mafia how are we going to engage IT? Sometimes we are so frustrated with all these nonsense. All the Best YB!
Dear YB,For your question #4 for written answer. Did the government come out any policy to BAN foreigners from buying petrol? I though that is only applicable to those petrol station within 30-50KM from Singapore bounder… Hopefully next time I can post my question for you to bring it to the parliament…although I do not stay in Wngsamaju.
bryanchongThank you for your comments. Looking forward to hear from you again soon.ccliewThank you so much for your speedy translations of the Parliamentary questions into Mandarin. Once again thank you so much. Please do not worry about not living in Wangsa Maju. Please feel free to interact and put your suggestion across. I need ideas from all Malaysians of all races. Thank you and good night.regards
I like all your questions especially written question 1 & 2.You should not have asked written question number 3. This is not your business. This is a citizens’s private matter. Please do not adopt the BN’s attitude of calling for banning everything. We want a more liberal society where the citizens individually think what is best for him.
Dear YB,for once I don’t need to translate and I escaped…hahaBryan, good question in 1 thing, stupid answer is the other.General Walker once commented, “you can’t give smart answers to stupid questions” but the current federal administration have prefected the ast of giving stupid answers to smart questions.”Latest case in point, wouldn’t the stupid 50km radius ban affect the much touted Iskandar? Checking the sale north of the borders I can understand as the Thais might not be big spenders like the Singaporeans when they come over.”undila kerajaan Barisan Nasional”RegardsLee Wee Tak
Hi everybodyI like the questions. They are the rakyat questions. The first question is good. I would like to know what actions the police has taken to cut down crime rate if not wipe out in Wangsa Maju. Tony Fernandes of Airasia talked so much about Airasia’s huge profits then it should settle its debt with MAB for services rendered. What I do not understand is why MAB did not take any action to recover the RM110 million debt owed by Airasia since 2002. MAB is a GLC and therefore, it must act in the rakyat interests. I hope YB Wee will pursue this matter and make sure that the government will not be subsidising Airasia directly or indirectly like allowing Airasia to owe MAB so much monies without taking actions. The Ministry of Transport should take actions against the CEO of MAB for not acting in the interests of MAB and the rakyat. Thank you YB Wee, keep up the good works and not allow the MCA and BN leaders to distract your works for the nation. Good job. We are with you all the way. Keep us informed of your activities via your blog. I am looking forward your hits to reach 1 million!!!
good set of questions bro!
Great stuff! Road widening project along Jalan Genting Kelang: WHY NO OPEN TENDER, YB ONG KA TING, the previous Minister for Housing and Local Government. Just like the LCCT, the Ministry of Transport award the project to Fajarbaru, an investment services company. The BN government never learned from March 8th. The BN leaders are still arrogance and living in the denial syndrome. Like DBKL officers (Mahadi and Azlan from Jabatan Perancang), still behaving like little Napoleon. If the BN leaders persist this way, I am very certain that the Rakyat will throw them out comes the next general elections. I have had enough of MCA and BN.
I like the question on haze. I know that many Malaysian companies are involved in the open burning in Sumatera. I am sick and fed up with the haze. Now I would like to know what the Ministry has got to say about this opening burning in Sumatera and whether the government is going take actions against the directors of the Malaysian companies for threatening our health.YB Wee go for it. Don’t kow tow to the BN leaders. The rakyat are with you.
Fernandes has received several awards for his outstanding achievements:International Herald Tribune Award for the “Visionaries & Leadership Series”, for his outstanding work in AirAsia; “Malaysian CEO of the Year 2003” in December 2003
Dear My Brother WeeKindly request the government not to increase the prices of petrol too much but to have a special pump for all foreigner own car number plate or road tax checking by the pump attendant. This will be better and wont burder us too much.Thank you and hoping that PR will bring this important matters to parliament debate very soon.Thank and hope to see you soonRegardsYour brother
YB,All are good questions. We hope that the ministry concerned will take good measure to overcome.Thank you for your hardwork. Pls do have enoungh rest.Rakyat concerned
I like all the questions especially on the increasing crime rate in Wilayah Perseketuan, AirAsia’s debts and only UMNO members can hold post in companies belonging to the government. Push for the answers on Airasia. The government should not be indirectly or directly subsidising AirAsia. AirAsia is a private company sop the Bodohwi government should not interfere private company like Airasia. mIf it owes MAB money then MAB’s CEO should be discipline or sack for not taking legal actions to recover the debts and at the same time MAB should not allow AirAsia to use its facility in LCCT or any where. Thank you for protecting the nation’s wealth from abused.
