Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim irrelevant? Really?

This is an email that has been making its round and it has been forwarded to me and I thought worthwhile to post it here for everyone’s benefit. All I know is there’s a welcoming Wind of Change blowing through our land!

Received from friend who stays abroad…!! By, A Political NeutralThe most famous term used by BN leaders is Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) is irrelevant, is this true? I was beginning to believe that maybe their claim was justified as it was being mentioned repeatedly over the months until I had personally attended his Ceramah at Buntong and Dewan Tow Bee Keong in Ipoh on the 11-1-08 between 7.30-11pm.There were banners displayed at several places around Ipoh for a Chinese New Year celebration with DSAI at Dewan Tow Bee Keong, so a crowd of 5,000, mostly Chinese did not take me by surprise. However, a crowd of more than 5,000 people at Buntong with a days notice and organizing it at a small terrace house, with no stage was an eye opener. So why was there such a large crowd ? Why an “irrelevant” person able to create such hype. The mere presence of Anwar Ibrahim created euphoria, his aura was immense, I was 50 meters away from like walking into a temple with strong vibration where you feel the sense of calmness and serenity. Anwar is definitely relevant!!!

He did not scream all the way as most politician do, but there was pin drop silence when his tone of voice was soft, I mean pin drop silence amongst the Buntong crowd! He kept the crowd cheering and laughing all the way throughout his hour long speech. He was instantly a big hit amongst the Buntong crowd. He received the same ovation at Dewan Tow Bee Keong as well.So what were the issues addressed and why should we vote for any opposition party whether its keADILan, DAP or PAS.

  1. yB Wee, The seditious banner that was highlighted in your March 1, 2008 entry was nowhere to be seen when I passed by the site this morning; perhaps those MCA goons realised that the the half-truths, full-lies propaganda banner thingy has backfired!!Q:What’s next then? A:Start a Chair-Throwing campaignyB Wee, we’re all solidly behind you for Parliament.

  2. I don’t think additional/current fuel subsidies is the way to go as in the case of Venezuela. However I will still support PKR.”Some economists call the subsidy “Hood Robin,” because it steals from the poor and gives to the rich by favoring relatively wealthy car owners above the poor who rely on public transport.”http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/bizfocus/archives/2008/01/20/2003398085

  3. yb Wee,malaysia-today.net announced that RPK and Haris Ibrahim will be at DAP ceramah tonite. Any chance of inviting them to assist in your campaign? I’m sure they could also unleash killer blows to the chair-throwing MCA goon.”Wangsa Maju dengan Wee demi rakyat dan negara”

  4. Just visit anwaribrahimblog.com and you can see the size of the crowd. If you call that irrelevant then the word needs to be redefined.Wee, the people are with you all the way.

  5. Sdr Wee Please tell all Malaysians that the nation need to move forward. Malaysians want change for the better. Malay, Chinese, India and others have been cheated by BN for too long – 50 years. It is high time that we must give change a chance. Let it not be said that we didn’t try. What has BN done for us in the past 50 years. Nothing. We only get lies, corruption and nepotism. Even the judiciary is corrupted to the core. Where a lawyer can write judgment for a judge. Lingam deliver luxury things to judges’ house. Under the circumstnaces, is BN still relevant? NO,NO,NO! Vote for Barisan Rakyat for a clean and independent judiciary, which has the interest of the country as its supreme objective. Vote PKR. Vote for Wee for change and to defend people rights.

  6. Ppl are so succumb with UMNO and BN thier minds kind even see the real truth.. I pitty this type of peoplethey should see who have robbed them all these while. If it wasnt for those corrupted politicians, we people of msia could live in a more better countryBN n UMNO is no more relevant. Vote for change now!

  7. I will never ever trust Anwar no matter how you try to convince me that he can be trusted. BUT then again, can we trust Abdullah Sleepy-Head Badawi or any of his cabinet ministers, MB, CM ? Abdullah is a proven liar and a bad one as well. Can we trust a C4 PM? Just think of how Samy lies to his own community. Ong Ka Ting and Chan Kong Choi have cheated and sold out the chinese all these years. Can anyone convince me that Anwar is more dangerous than all the above betrayers of the RAKYAT

  8. To toyolbuster …I am not totally sure of your point. But you are entitled to your views as everybody else here as long as we are civil about them and not be seditious.People, as you know, are as varied as the shades of green we see in our gardens and forests. They may appear to be the same but there are differentiating subtleties when examined closely. We also have our own pet peeves. The important thing is to recognise truth as truth is and to rightly know when it has deviated, too. Closed minds can both be limiting and damaging.Thank you for visiting.

  9. In the event KEADILAN and the Barisan Rakyat/Barisan Alternatif won in GE12, you, Mr. Wee, is the ideal candidate to take over the Attorney General’s portfolio in a KeaADILan-helmed democracy in this erstwhile forsaken Bolehland country. The day the BN-dominated government is toppled is the day true freedom and democracy prevails in this beloved land of mine. Keep up the good work, Mr Wee. We are all for you in Wangsa Maju.MALAYSIA – TOGETHER AS ONE WE SHALL PREVAIL. WE SHALL FIGHT CORRUPTION, NEPOTISM AND CRONYISM!

  10. wish we could replace the two goons; pak tahil and musang berjanggut. i honestly wish and hope you win the WM seat

  11. Mr. Wee,The SPR has finally showed their true colors by “finally declaring” that unwashable ink can’t be used because it contradicts with the constitution…..RM200K gone.well, ain’t that bad. Consider how many billions has the BN robbed us.Let this 200k be the last 200k robbed from the people’s wallets.Mr. Wee, please address the constituents in your next ceramah abut this issue, and ask them, DO THEY WANT TO GET CHEATED AGAIN AND AGAIN BY BN?–Isaac

  12. I wish to ask readers the extend of cronyism Anwar has. From where he gets his financial standing? Just find out from the neighbourhood of SS7 if he is a man of integrity. His promises for the election are just in the wilds and so are his secrets. He is brilliant in rallying support but in actual he is like ular menyusur akar. Can a good talker be trusted as his words?

  13. comparing to the big money dragons that BN rears in the back yard (PLUS, ahem, ahemmmm!!!) , Anwar’s so called crony isn’t a crony after all. It’s through donations, genius.

  14. It is a whole clod of crap to describe DSAI with “aura” by standing in his presence. He is just a human with a big vengence in his heart against those who have wronged him.He almost failed me in getting a housing loan when he was the Finance Minister. So called “Finance Adviser”. That I remember about him.Just stop this painting “holier than thou” image of him.

  15. I am very sad to read that according to some readers the country has little to contribute to our well being. Is our living conditions like in Kenya and other 3rd world countries? In actual fact some of you have more than one car and beautiful house above you. All these brought about the conducive conditions in the country for many years. I admit there’re still shortcomings but we are progessing since pre independence days. Anyhow, if PKR is capable enough to lower the price of goods and petrol soon, it means its leader/mentor has the quality beyond my belief
