Why Malaysia’s broadband internet service is not as fast as those in South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan despite our high charges …
Soalan
Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju] minta Menteri Tenaga, Teknologi Hijau dan Air menjelaskan walaupun para pengguna terpaksa membayar kadar tinggi untuk perkhidmatan
The Minister will probably give a reply in a convoluted way which will actually mean ‘it’s not faster because it’s slower’!
It’s time to dismantle Telekoms’ monopoly and open up this sector. When Dr.M conjured up the vision of Cyberjaya, he was way ahead of any country in this world.
The current pathetic service and broadband speed levels are a clear indictment of the deadwood at Telekom and Streamyx. Even the new contract for high speed broadband costing some $12-15 billion has been awarded to Telekom on direct negotiations basis and not OPEN TENDER as promised by Badawi.
The day after the Govt awarded this contract to Telekom, an ex-telekom employee offered to provide the same service for $5 billion while a Pahang group offered to take up the contract with no finance cost to the Govt!!
Now we kno why our country is going bakrupt!
YB, don’t let up. Track and shoot down the looters and Ponzi scheme artistes!!
They still live in their own world, they thought 1mbps (the most common use in M’sia) is very faster already!! What a shame…..
Ini dinamakan kerajaan bahalol dia ingat rakyat boleh diperbodohkan, dulu sebab rakyat malas nak layan sekarang dalam diam rakyat akan hapuskan BN
i pay RM700 for one year connection of 4MB speed internet unlimited usage, in Guangdong province, China
