  1. YB Wee, what a good sense of humour you have!

When everything around us these days are so frustrating and disgusting like a circus with its acts falling apart and flat on the face, you come up with something like this.

I am ROTFLOL. What? We can owe taxes like Air Asia? Dream on!

Still, the question of the week is funny. At least you made me laugh during a time when all is so gloomy.

    Syabas, YB!

  2. YBro

I like the way you have set up this MP Question of the Week. The tax-paying rakyat needs to know that the government cares. Tax cuts is one of policies that the government should be encouraged to take. It’s benefits are direct.

  4. Very nice YB,
Sometimes we need to be sarcastic, to be realistic when dealings with the idiotic who loves everything plastics (he,he,he … I am getting very philosophical esp. on weekend)

YB, I do hope you expose MAS three bailouts also (latest being RM3.7 billions in 2007), only then you can see the common factor.
    See clue below.

Khazanah managing director Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar said yesterday although MAS had been restructured with leadership and capital structure in place, these were not enough to turn it into a regional champion.

  5. Sorry, missing bit.

“…..But I’ll just let our track record speak for itself. MAS has been bailed out three times.”

  6. Con Air

But Air Asia is waiting to be bailed out. Air Asia is a private company: Why is it getting all the handouts so easily? And it is hoping to get more.

We must remember that Air Asia had to take delivery of 1 airbus every month and there are outstanding of 150 airbus planes to be taken up.

Public should beware of buying plane tickets upfront because we do not know what is in store for us. At the end of the day, it may not be a saving because we may loose all.

Tony, when are you going to pay the Air Asia debts of RM140 millions airport tax so that we can start owing our income tax?

  7. I like the question. I have had enough of politics from both sides. The country is in deep shit and yet the parties are wasting our times with their selfish politics.

Why is Air Asia/Tony Fernadez are so powerful? Even the government under Badawi is so scared of them and dare not take actions. I think that it is high time that Pak Lah stop all his cronies from taking advantage of the rakyat’s monies.

It is now time for the government to implement tax cuts if not let us owe income tax like Air Asia owing its airport tax from 2002 – mind you. I only need 2 years of owing income tax to tie me over.

  8. Is Tingkat Empat boys connected to Air Asia?

Is Tony Fernandez a closed associate or friend of Khairy?

Who is Noni Mahmood? Is she the sister in law of Endon Mahmood? Please do not get me wrong. I am just asking who is she and nothing else. Please do not read too much into this.

OK

  10. YB, pasal airasia kita tak perlu risau kerana Tony anak buaya akan dimakan oleh buaya ganas najis dengan tahinya sekali sebab buaya malas pada 1/3/09 akan meninggalkan malaysia bersama jin-nya ke down under(austarila) bersama hasil kekayaanya.

  11. Air Asia can owe airport tax, the rakyat can also owe income tax. Badawi is a caring man so he will agree to allow you and I to owe income tax or other taxes.

Tan Sri Nor Yakop is also a very close friend of Tony Fernandez. Tan Sri Nor Yakop should be sacked for allowing Air asia to opwe more than RM140 million of airport tax. Bloody mamak is screwing up ythe country big time.

  13. Tony said: Manchester United is asking Air Asia to sponsor its jerseys. Tony is still trying to bullshit us all. Air Asia can even pay teh airport tax of RM140 million, which it has collected from the members of the public, how could it possiblly sponsor Manchester United.

Air Asia needs Labu vey badly to ensure that teh musical chair will keep moving otherwise Air Asia will be finished after Pak Lah is out.

The fact that AIr Aisa is owing MAB more than RM140 millions, it is evident that it has no fund. In hte first place Air Asia shouldn’t be owing MAB the airport tax because hte passengers have already paid the airport tax to Air Asia. Tony should thank his good firend, Pak Lah, for allowing Air Asia to owe the airport tax. Thuis is a clkear case of abused of power by Air Asia / Tony.

My advice to the potential cusotmers of Air Asia to be extremely careful in buying Air Asia tickts in advance is not to buy tickets to far away. One or two months away will be just nice. BUt I still feel that Malaysians should be extremely cautious of Air Asia!

  14. rakyat owe income tax?

    1) late filing of BE – RM200 fine

    2) statute bar of 7 years lifted and IRB can go back indefinitely even back till income tax and money wasn’t invented

    3) there was a time where when withholding tax was not paid or late in payment, instead of 10% penalty, it was raised to 100% for a year; thank goodness commonsense prevail

    4) before your salary cheque is written, PCB already deducted

    5) ask for refund? wait till retirement

    6) company tax? must submit an estimation before your financial year start. you can’t even forecast down wards too much, even if 2009 is going to be a worse year than 2008. You have to pay your tax even though you might not have collected your cash from debtors yet as your monthly installments are base on annual profit and we all know the first couple of months for most business are slow months….

    7) service tax collected on behalf of government must be remitted every couple of months (unless you are AA) and hell to pay if your clients are dragging payments

If the administration expect the public to pay fast, the least they could do is move their staff faster. Apart from getting passport faster, are we seeing any of the civil servants thinking, moving, deciding, executing, reporting, concluding any issue, task, plans any faster?

  15. Salam YB,
Saya salah seorang anak jati Kampung Sungai Mulia(batu 5, Jln Gombak).

  16. Tony Fernandez is a powerful man in Malaysian politics. He can made announcement on behalf of the government and the governmnet had to take note of what he said. No other public listed company can make demand to the government and the government had to respond. This is Badawi style of Government: it is a TIngkat Empat government.

Lets all emulate Tony Fernandez’as Air Asia by owing whatever tax we had to pay! If we were to owe taxes, I am sure that Badawi government will ccome down hard on us.

Badawi should come out clean to tell Malaysians why is his government is so kind to Tony Fernandez and allowed Tony to dictate terms?

Badawi should also tell Malaysians whether his sister in law, Noni Mahmood, has any direct or indirect connection with Air Asia?

Badawi should also tell Malaysians whether the Budak Tingkat Empat has any connection with Air Asia?

    Now Everyone Can Owe Taxes!!!

  17. Now the DPM had already announced LCCT @ Labu is off. But I am sure that Tony will still try because Air Asia needs Labu to survive. The musical chair cannot stop otherwise no fund to generate from.

I will never buy Air Asia ticket in advance (not in advance of more than 1 month) because I know Air Asia cannot last long when Pak Lah and Tingkat Empat are bungkus i.e. no more political patronage.

Why must Pak Lah allow Air Asia to owe airpor tax for more than RM140 millions when airport tax have already been paid by the passengers. Airport Tax does not belong to Air Asia.

By right the government must insist that Air Asia pays interests for the outstanding airport tax. Pak Lah must always bear in mind htat Air Asia is a public listed company with no connection with the government. It is like any other companies in KL Stock Exchange.

The government should immediate give Air Asia an ultimatum to pay up airport tax immediately with interests or stop the from using LCCT and ask Air Asia to land on Tony’s bunglow!

Bloody nonsense! How an airline owe airport tax? No other airline is allowed to owe airport tax except Air Asia, which is run by Pak Lah crony!

BN is a cronies infested Government!

  18. YB Wee,

    What lah this Air Asia!

Cannot pay airport tax of RM140 million from 2002 until now, but can (want to, lah) sponsor MU t-shirts! Halo, Tony Forlangkan, pay lah your airport tax first! Also, want to sponsor, sponsor first lah Malaysia football team.

Air Asia got more money than AIG isit? This Forlangkan want publicity so bad he can take my airport tax I pay last time to advertisement on MU t-shirts. What the fork!

Oi, Badawi, can ask ah Air Asia to quickly to pay the airport tax before the money also disappear on some stupid foolballer chest ah?

    Boycot Air Asia!!!!!!!!
